Bullet points that hang off a stem and end the same way
Lesson 15 of 16 Year 6
Task 1 gives the letter of the right option as printed on the sheet. Task 2 lists the mistakes in the order they appear, with the correction. Task 3 and 4 answers are models, not the only acceptable wording: any answer that uses the rule the lesson taught should be credited.
MildStem, colon, bullets. Sentences end with a full stop every time, short items with nothing every time.

The list trips the reader because the three bullets end three different ways, a full stop, nothing and a comma, and Bread has a capital. Short items take no end mark and no capital, so every line should be the same: • soup • bread • gelato.

SpicyThree checks, every list: the stem ends with a colon, every bullet finishes the stem's sentence, and every ending matches.
1 · Tick the right one
a Ab Ac Bd BA = left option, B = right option
3 · Now you write
Model answers
Each waiter must: • greet every guest. • carry the plates carefully. • clear the tables quickly.
Each chef must: • wash their hands. • tie back their hair. Each chef needs: • clean hands • tied-back hair I would print the sentence bullets, because each one finishes the stem properly.
Every table should get: • a menu • a jug of water • the waiter smiles Repair: • a smile from the waiter
4 · Help Polpetta
Matching is not enough, the ending has to be the right one for what the bullets are. Short items take no end mark at all, and commas belong in a prose list, not on bullets, so it should be • soup • bread • gelato.
