The beginning brings a meaning. It does not take a letter away from the root.

Polpetta is unhappy today. He tried to rewrite the menu and mispelt the soup, which is now on the board in letters a foot high. The new coffee machine is automatic, but nobody can find the switch, so the queue reaches the supermaket next door. The cheese has an unnatural colour and the label is incorect. Please do not disagre with the chef about any of it.
One word really does have a double letter. It is not a mistake.

Help Polpetta

Chef Polpetta

I wrote the notice for the spelling club. Do not mispell the daily specials. One s is plenty.

Tell him why it is wrong.
