SPAGhetti ("we", "us") is an educational app that helps children practise spelling, punctuation and grammar through games and a cooking café. This policy explains what information we handle and why. We have written it in plain language because much of our audience is children and families.
SPAGhetti is provided from the United Kingdom. For any questions or requests about your data, contact us at admin@playspaghetti.com.
We do not collect location, contacts, photos, or device identifiers, and we do not show advertising or sell or share personal data with advertisers.
Account and progress data is stored using Google Firebase (Authentication and Firestore), a secure cloud service provided by Google, which acts as our data processor. Data is protected so that a signed-in user can only access their own record. See Google's privacy information at firebase.google.com/support/privacy.
Solely to run the app: to sign you in and to save and restore your progress. We do not use it for profiling, advertising, or analytics tracking.
SPAGhetti is designed for primary-aged children. When used in a school, the school is the data controller and is responsible for the lawful basis for processing pupils' data; we act on the school's behalf. For home use, a parent or guardian should set up and supervise any account for a child under 13, and may use guest mode to avoid any account at all. We keep the data we hold to the minimum needed to run the app.
We use your device's local storage to save your progress and settings. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
We keep account data while the account is in use. You can clear on-device progress at any time by logging out. To request deletion of a cloud account and its data, email admin@playspaghetti.com and we will delete it promptly.
Under UK GDPR you (or a child's parent/guardian, or the school) can ask to access, correct or delete the data we hold, or object to its use. Contact admin@playspaghetti.com.
If we change this policy we will update the date above and, where appropriate, notify users in the app.
